Loney Dear is Emil Svanängen’s recording name. The multi-instrumentalist recorded alone in his tiny Stockholm studio and at his parents’ home in Jönköping. Dear John is the latest release from the band.
Expect a full review of the album from my friend Eric White soon. Eric was one of the site’s original contributors. He recently stumbled upon a show review I had written of the Loney Dear show we saw together and decided to give contributing a second chance.
The new album from Loney Dear, Dear John, is available to pre-oder from Polyvinyl Record Co.. CDs are available for $10. 180 Gram Black Vinyl is available for $12 (comes with a coupon to download the album in mp3 format).
Dear John will hit store shelves on January 16th in the US via Polyvinyl. The album will see a proper release on March 2nd in the UK & Europe via Regal.
