In combining a love of ancient Greece, precious gems and Kate Bush, the quixotic world of Marina and The Diamonds will not fail to charm.
Marina herself is a pocket-sized star - a fiery combination of Greek and Welsh who spends her time between songwriting, hand-creating merchandise and selling vintage clothing.
Described affectionately by The Guardian as a “seriously warped mind in the body of a fox”, Marina’s sound is all encompassing. She takes on piano ballads, synth heavy bass lines, brass, bird calls, chanting and ooohs and ahhs in varying vocal ranges - wonderfully varied and yet utterly distinctive.
Marina releases her debut double A single “Obsessions”/”Mowgli’s Road” on New Yorks Neon Gold record label early in 2009.She is currently working on her debut long player with Liam Howe. I find her refeshingly unusual and quirky to tickle my tastebuds enough to share her with you all.

I really like the ”Mowgli’s Road” song!!! She’s got a great sound. Can’t wait to here more!
